About Mike Hackett 🎧
Weddings are where my heart truly lies.
I started DJing at 18 and have since worked around the world across radio, clubs, corporate events and weddings. That experience gives me a calm, rounded approach that really helps on a wedding day.
I am not simply a playlist DJ. I have also worked as a radio presenter, quiz host, professional MC and club DJ, so I know how to read a room, judge the right moment, make polished announcements and keep the energy moving naturally.
With more than 40 years behind the decks, I bring experience, reliability and a personal approach to every celebration. I help guide the day, keep things flowing smoothly and build an evening party that feels right for you and your guests.

🎶 Do you take song requests?
Yes. You will have must-play and do-not-play lists before the day, and I am always happy to take sensible requests on the night.
🤵 Can you host the whole day?
Yes — from ceremony introductions to speeches, announcements and evening hosting, I help everything run smoothly.
🧑🎤 What does an all-day Wedding DJ do?
I can cover the ceremony, wedding breakfast, introductions, speeches, hosting and evening party, with music and guidance throughout the day.
🌟 What is the Day-to-Evening Celebration package?
It is a newer option for 2026 onwards, offering seamless coverage from the wedding breakfast through to a 10:30pm finale, with optional fun extras.
🎧 What does your setup and sound include?
You can choose a black or white LED booth, along with sound suitable for around 50 to 500 guests and modern lighting to set the mood. I always work within venue sound limits.
🗺️ What areas do you cover?
I cover Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester and venues across the South West.
⏰ Can we add extra time?
Yes. Extra hours are charged at £50 per hour. The more notice you can give me, the better.
💷 How do booking and payments work?
A £100 deposit secures your date, with the balance due 14 days before the event. Instalments are available by prior agreement, and receipts are provided for payments made.
❌ What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel 21 or more days before the event, a 25% fee applies. Between 14 and 21 days, a 50% fee applies. Within 7 days, 100% applies. Full details are in my Terms & Conditions.
